About JIN

The JIN Corporation operates a tuna specialty shop called "Otuna" in Yaizu, Shizuoka Prefecture, where Mt. Fuji is located. As Yaizu Port is one of Japan's foremost harbors, the amount of tuna caught is extremely large, so Yaizu produces a lot of high-quality tuna products using fresh tuna. For "Otuna", JIN is very particular about the ingredients that they use and are producing tuna products that are distinct to their hand-made process that allows you to savour the full natural umami flavors of tuna.

Product description

Domestically caught Albacore Tuna is made into a soup by boiling deep sea water and flavored vegetables and then soaked in an original blend of oils rich in Omega 9 before being bottled. Unlike typical retort processing, JIN's tuna is sterilized at a low temperature, so it retains the deep flavors and nutrients of the ingredients. Because it is bottled, there are none of the unpleasant smells found in metal canned food.

The product that we are offering this time is a simple "plain" flavor that can be enjoyed. Of course you can enjoy it as is but it also can be used as a topping on pasta, bread, or salads.
